B&O Not Sitting Still: The 103″ BeoVision 4-103 announced

beovision-4-103_smallIt seems the death of Plasma was a little premature, since more companies seem to be coming out with new Plasma releases since LG and Vizio announced they were stopping (or considering stopping) production of Plasma units. Bang & Olufsen doesn’t seem to care, and is banking on Plasma being very much alive as a technology.

We covered upcoming models from the company a few days ago, and if that wasn’t enough, the fancy home cinema company has just leaked news of a monster addition to their line: the 103″ Plasma TV badged the BeoVision 4-103.

The catch: The 103-inch Panasonic TH-103PF9 panel is being used as the raw material, with some modifications to make it even better: a special rising stand and added the BeoSystem 3 audio system and VisionClear technology that does fancy things with brightness and color based on where the TV is at.

Prepare for sticker shock: The set should be released around mid-July for around €100,000 (that’s $136,220 USD, boys and girls!). Hey, quality costs money, we suppose.
