What’s old is new again: New Blu-Ray releases for this week

This week seems to be paying tribute to older catalog titles in the new Blu-Ray release department, and that’s a good thing for people looking to see if BR will actually survive long-term. Its appearing this will happen right now.

Title being released this week include: Splinter, 8 Mile, The Last Kiss (good movie), Mean Girls (modern classic by now), among others. It’s a bumper crop for those who enjoyed some modern classic older flicks that aren’t TOO old really. It’s a sign of medium’s staying power when even non-hits are being released for it, so we see this as a statement for the HD disc medium.

Next week will include Sin City and a few X-Men movies, so it’ll be more of a mainstream hit week.
