HD Lineup for August 5th

Variety is the order of the day with HD viewing tonight, headlined by strong cable dramas.
Personally, we enjoy TNT’s Leverage, a small screen version of an “Ocean’s” movie that comes on every week. The characters are engaging, the plots are twisty and entertaining, and the production values are decent. And of course, it’s aired in glorious 1080i HD, which earns a thumbs up in our book.
Baseball and the other TNT cop drama, Dark Blue, also air tonight, along with the SyFy spooky shows Ghost Hunters International and the slightly sad Toddlers and Tiaras about kids being forced into the “modeling” world when they’ve just learned to walk a few years before. Tragic stuff.
