There’s almost too much going on tonight as several Fall series launch in razor-sharp HD, along with football, and last but not least, the WNBA playoffs.
Our TVs are set to House, the season premiere. Hopefully, it improves over a mediocre season last year and gets back to its glory roots as one of the sharpest written, most provocative shows on television.
HD Overload: Tonight’s HD Content (there’s a lot of it)

In more proof that HD is becoming more accepted, tonight’s HD fare is copious and varied, including sports, dramas and comedies (including Red Sox/Yankees baseball where I will root against the Yankees feverishly and House, one of the best shows on TV).
In an age where HD content is at a premium it seems, tonight that certainly is not the case, with 24 different shows being produced and broadcast in HD just tonight (depending on your cable/satellite provider). The only HD show I don’t have personally is the History Channel, and since that was a subject I dreaded in school, it’s no big loss for me really. Dhani will have to tackle the Globe without me.
Take a look here and see what tickles your fancy.

Now take a look at this schedule for tonight’s HD content. It’s a larger list than we’ve seen in a while, and this should only be the beginning really.
Recommended Viewing: A new episode of House (always a great, reliable show), season finale of Heroes (another interesting show), and a new CSI: Miami, all in glorious HD (assuming your provider carries all these in HD, which they should since these are all major networks).
Or if you’re a sports fan, back to back NBA Basketball series games are on tonight in 1080i HD for your viewing pleasure.
We’re excited not only by the prospect of entire evenings filled with HD content, but entire TV schedules filled with HD within the next few years. Whatever you choose to watch, enjoy.
