Icit’s amazing how diversified the HDTV content is on TV right now. Take tonight for example: Baseball (the last before the All-Star break), reality TV, crime drama, fantasy and driving down a super slick icy road for a living. How that’s for variety in TV viewing, and all in HD.

The new Law & Order:CI (this writer loves the addition of Jeff Goldblum in the show) and In Plain Sight are airing tonight, along with HBO’s new “killer” lineup of True Blood, the amusing new series Hung and the season debut of Entourage.

Feel free to peruse the rest of the listings here.

755596_f520It’s a fact: HDTV is slowly taking over the airwaves of the many major cable networks. It’s proven tonight with a pretty fine lineup of TV shows for all tastes.

Want sports? Baseball on ESPN features Dodgers vs. Angels in the freeway series. Want original network shows? NBC premieres Merlin in 1080i res tonight, or ABC has Impact debuting tonight (part 1 of 2).

HBO’s True Blood airs a new episode tonight, and Law & Order: CI is doing the same, followed by In Plain Sight, a popular well made crime series with a different perspective.

It’s a feast of fine television, all in HDTV. Read more listings here.

nbafinals_2009Yes, HDTV is alive and well, and if tonight’s listings are any evidence, they’re filled with a wide variety of programming to whet any appetite, from sports to crime drama, to awards for best musical.

The Tonys highlight an interesting night of mixed venues, along with the NBA championships airing a game tonight, to nationwide baseball on ESPN. The back-to-back seriously good Law and Order: CI and In Plain Sight air tonight as well in clear 1080i res, and the debut of the wacky Simmons family once again in another season of Family Jewels.
